Salary/Pay Rate: £15.31 - £21.55 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Overview

An Alternative Provision in the Lancaster area is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for an outreach role within an alternative setting. This position involves working 5 days a week delivering tailored 1:1 interventions to students who require specialised academic, social, or emotional support outside of mainstream school environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver bespoke 1:1 intervention programmes focusing on core subjects (Literacy/Numeracy) or social-emotional learning (SEMH) within alternative provision bases.

Adapt teaching and intervention materials to suit individual student learning styles and developmental needs.

Track, record, and report student progress closely to senior leadership and external educational agencies.

Build positive, mentoring relationships with disengaged students to re-engage them in their education and personal development.
