The Role
Contract Details:
* Working Pattern 10pm to 6am-Monday-Friday
* 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
* Salary – £15.25 ph plus 30% shift enhancement
* Initial training will be alongside the day shifts and paid at the standard rate
The Role:
You will be working as part of a small production team in the production of Spatone products.
As acting team leader, you will assume responsibility for the management of the production team, ensuring the team continues to perform efficiently in the absence of the Team Leader and continue to always perform as a leader within the group.
You will work according to all necessary Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Hygiene and Health & Safety (H&S) requirements to ensure high quality products are produced in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
You will accurately complete all required documentation as specified in the relevant SOP’s and undertake routine preventative checks and cleaning of production equipment, utensils, and premises to ensure that the highest standards are maintained. You will also be responsible for delegating production and cleaning activities to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the production team, in the absence of team leader and delegate activities when and where required, and continue to support the Team Leader as a leader within the group at all other times
Manage production team, to maintain production outputs, ensuring targets and quality standards are met, and all processes used are compliant, as per the SOP’s
Maintain, and enhance working relationships within the team and across departments.
Be responsible for absence and sickness management within the team and ensure adequate staffing levels on the shift
Report and work with the site administrator, quality department and production manager when quality or H&S incidents occur to make sure these are covered off in an acceptable and timely manner.
Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Good Manufacturing
Practice (GMP) standards
Complete and review all documentation in a timely manner and ensure accuracy is maintained in line with batch right first-time targets (BRFT)
Drive a strong Health and Safety culture within the team and ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
Work and help lead team in accordance with the relevant SOP and Batch Production documentation
To undertake and assist all training requirements as required to maintain GMP compliance, H&S adherence, and production efficiency
Work with and develop production operators to develop their knowledge and skills base of the equipment and processes, in order to develop a well-trained highly efficient team.
To ensure that the production area, utensils, and equipment are maintained to the required standard of operation and cleanliness and to maintain a high standard of overall housekeeping
To lead and assist production equipment line changeovers
To collaborate with the other team members and Team Leaders to ensure and improve production efficiency and maintenance of quality standards
To comply with all relevant personal hygiene SOP requirements
To undertake any other reasonable task requested by company management.
To complete any end user inputs into ERP system
To attend monthly team briefings and 1-1’s
We’d love you to have
English and Maths to GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Ability to work accurately, to have a keen eye for detail
Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally to GMP standards
Ability to recognise and work with good hygienic practices
Demonstrate good leadership / people management skills
Experience with regards to Quality and Health and Safety to support the team to deliver high levels required by the business
Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to learn ERP end user function
Current and valid driving license
Bonus if you have
Current and valid counterbalance forklift truck licence
Water Industry Process Operator Certificate
GMP Training
Mechanical ability
Experience in end user on an ERP system
