Rate: £35 - £40ph.

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility on a temporary, ongoing contract for a minimum of 3 months.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to work within a modern manufacturing environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of a range of automated production machinery and equipment.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of production equipment through a combination of planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Electrical fault finding on automated manufacturing machinery

* Planned and preventative maintenance

* Reactive breakdown maintenance

* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults

* Working with sensors, motors, drives, PLCs and control systems

* Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects

* Carrying out electrical installations and modifications where required

* Working safely in accordance with site procedures and electrical regulations

* Minimising production downtime and responding quickly to breakdowns

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in automated manufacturing.

Essential requirements:

* Fully apprentice trained in an electrical engineering discipline

* Recognised electrical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds

* Previous experience working within a manufacturing or highly automated environment

* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Experience maintaining automated production machinery

* Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment

* Strong health & safety awareness

* Available to work on an Inside IR35 basis
