The Role… Learning Disability School Support Staff
This is a rewarding and varied opportunity within specialist school settings in Huddersfield, supporting pupils with learning disabilities and additional needs throughout their school day.
As Learning Disability School Support Staff in Huddersfield, you'll work alongside teachers and other support professionals to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and become more independent. You'll provide both classroom and pastoral support, encouraging pupils to participate, build confidence, and work towards their individual goals.
Depending on the needs of the pupils, you may also provide support with personal care, mobility, and everyday routines, always promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
You'll Be…
* Experienced in supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, SEND, or additional needs
* Comfortable providing personal care and physical support where required
* Caring, patient, and confident in building positive relationships with pupils
* Adaptable, proactive, and ready to get involved in all aspects of the school day
