SEN Teaching Assistant - Inclusion Hub
Ardwick, Manchester

An inclusive primary school in Ardwick is seeking an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated Inclusion Hub. Working through ourselves, a trusted education supply agency, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and achieve their individual goals in accordance with their plans.

This is a highly rewarding position for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference. The children within the Inclusion Hub require consistency, patience and understanding, so the school is looking for a committed individual who can build positive relationships and provide a stable, nurturing presence each day. Due to the nature of the role, you must be confident managing the needs of multiple pupils at once whilst maintaining a calm and positive approach.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils with a range of complex SEN needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties and learning needs
Working with small groups and on a one-to-one basis to support learning and engagement
Managing challenging behaviours positively and consistently
Implementing strategies and support plans provided by teachers and external professionals
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
Supporting pupils during lessons, breaktimes and transitions throughout the school day
Liaising effectively with teaching staff and the wider inclusion team
Helping to create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
The successful candidate will be highly experienced within SEN settings and able to demonstrate resilience, adaptability and a strong understanding of how to support children with complex needs. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
