About this job

We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC CSA Engineer to join a major data centre project in Blyth, UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused engineer with experience across Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) works to play a key role in ensuring construction activities are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and inspect CSA construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards and regulations.
Develop, implement and maintain project-specific QA/QC procedures for CSA works.
Review Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation submitted by subcontractors.
Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits and compliance checks.
Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented and closed out.
Work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and the wider Quality Team to resolve quality issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to the CSA construction team.
Ensure materials, installations and workmanship are appropriately inspected, tested and documented.
Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test certificates and compliance documentation.
Support the preparation and completion of QA/QC dossiers, O&M documentation and project handover packs.
Assist with quality reporting, performance monitoring and project close-out activities.
Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement across the project.Requirements
Relevant Engineering or Construction qualification; Mechanical or Electrical background advantageous.
Proven experience working as a QA/QC Engineer on major construction projects.
Strong CSA experience, ideally within the data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical or technology sectors.
Good understanding of construction quality standards, specifications, drawings and regulatory requirements.
Experience with ITPs, Method Statements, inspections, audits, NCRs and quality documentation.
Strong knowledge of construction processes and quality control procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors and project teams.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing quality documentation in a fast-paced environment.
