A well-established secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fully site-based role, providing expert HR support and guidance to managers across the school within a wider trust hub model.
The Role
As the HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted HR expert, supporting managers with a range of employee relations and people matters, including:
Providing HR advice, guidance, and coaching to managers
Supporting employee relations casework and HR best practice
Overseeing recruitment processes and onboarding activities
Assisting with payroll oversight and HR administration
Working closely with the HR Business Partner supporting multiple schools across the trust
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation
What You'll Need to Succeed
Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent role
Experience within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) environment is highly desirable
Strong employee relations and stakeholder management skills
Recruitment and payroll oversight experience
Local government, civil service, or fire service HR experience would also be advantageous
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with managers
