Contract Type: PAYE Contract

Duration: 3 months

Location: Solihull - office based initially, with the option to move to hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office

Pay Rate: £14.70 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 37 hours per week, working either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Settlements Operations Specialist to join our client's team in Solihull.

You will provide analytical and administrative support across settlement processes for I&C customers, helping to resolve faults, cleanse data and ensure accurate settlement and billing in line with industry standards.

This is a varied role where you will manage a dynamic workload, investigate issues, work with internal and external stakeholders and contribute towards improving processes and overall performance.

Your Responsibilities:

Process standard tickets within Junifer in line with agreed SOPs and SLAs.

Review and interpret feedback from field agents and identify and report data mismatches.

Investigate the root causes of poor performance and support testing and changes to resolve issues and improve performance.

Support process improvements aimed at reducing operating costs and improving customer service.

Contact customers and use internal processes to resolve access issues and organise future access for field agents.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather additional information and help ensure planned jobs can go ahead.

Support accurate settlement by ensuring data and processes are maintained correctly.

Participate in process changes and implementation, including conducting testing where required.

Produce and maintain process documentation to ensure processes remain efficient and consistent with business and industry requirements.

Provide support and expertise across a range of end-to-end processes, helping ensure tasks are completed correctly first time.

Manage and prioritise workload effectively, monitoring progress and providing regular updates to team management.

What We're Looking For:

A proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing and working with data.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

Good communication skills and confidence liaising with customers and internal and external stakeholders.

The ability to follow established processes, SOPs and SLAs.

A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to identify ways of improving existing processes.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

Previous experience within an administrative, operational, data, billing or analytical environment would be beneficial.

Experience investigating data discrepancies or resolving operational issues would be advantageous.

Experience working to SLAs, processes and performance targets.

Good IT skills and confidence working across different systems and datasets.

Experience within the energy/utilities sector or settlements would be advantageous but is not essential.
