Location: Milton Keynes 
Job title: Warehouse Operative

Rate: £13 per hour
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm, Fri 8am-12.30pm 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Kitting parts and components in accordance with production schedules and build requirements.
Delivering kits to designated production areas accurately and on time.
Replenishing production supermarket stock levels to agreed minimum and maximum inventory levels.
Maintaining the internal Kanban supermarket to support uninterrupted production flow.
Kit and maintain consumables boxes for production shelf build.
Moving materials safely within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
Operating forklift trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Conducting routine stock checks and reporting shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials. Adjust stock levels if appropriate.
Ensuring all materials are correctly identified, handled, and stored.
Support Instrument packing if required.
Maintaining a 5S culture and high standards of housekeeping.
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security within the work environment.
Supporting continuous improvement activities within the warehouse and production support functions.
Assisting with general warehouse and logistics activities as required.Essential:
Experience working in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
Understanding of stock control and inventory management principles.
Ability to follow work instructions and procedures accurately.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable
Experience of supporting production and assembly operations.
Experience working with Kanban replenishment systems.
Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
