Our client, is seeking a Stores Operative to join its team on a contract basis. The role is responsible for maintaining efficient stores operations, managing materials and stock control, and ensuring all supplies are accurately recorded, safely stored and readily available.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving, checking and storing incoming materials and supplies
Maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels
Issuing materials to relevant departments as required
Conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies
Keeping the stores area clean, organised and compliant with safety procedures
Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries
Communicating with internal departments to meet material requirements
Using inventory management systems to track and manage stock
Job Requirements:
Experience in a stores, materials management or stock control role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in using inventory management systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Physical capability to handle and move stock and supplies safely
Effective communication skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations relating to stores management
