Academics are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in the Torfaen area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident supporting pupils, working alongside teaching staff and taking responsibility for learning activities across the classroom.
You'll play an important role within the school, helping pupils stay engaged with their learning while providing support where it is needed. The successful candidate will be someone who can build positive relationships with pupils, communicate effectively with staff and adapt to the needs of different learners.

Hold a recognised HLTA qualification
Have previous experience working within a school or education setting
Are confident supporting pupils both independently and as part of a wider team
Can lead learning activities and provide effective classroom support
Have a positive, patient and encouraging approach
Can adapt your communication and support to suit individual pupil needs
Are reliable, organised and able to use your initiative
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
Are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or are willing to register
Can provide two professional references relating to your work with children
