Teaching Assistant – Special Education Support – Wirral
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join us in supporting pupils in schools across Wirral. The ideal candidate will support children with autism and complex learning needs across all key stages, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
* Support classroom activities and tailored educational programmes for pupils with autism and complex needs
* Assist teachers in managing pupil behaviour and promoting positive interactions
* Establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model
* Respond to individual needs and adapt practice to support diverse learning requirements
* Contribute to creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all students
Requirements:
* Resilience and the ability to support vulnerable children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with pupils and team members
* Excellent organisational skills to support educational activities and classroom management
* Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to support young people's development
