Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in a secondary school setting?
Teaching Personnel is working with various welcoming and supportive secondary schools in the Old Trafford (M32) area of Manchester, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom. You will help create a positive learning environment, provide targeted academic support, and assist pupils in reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities
Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 in lessons.
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery.
Encouraging student engagement, confidence and progress.
Providing additional support for pupils with varying learning needs.
Always promoting positive behaviour
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a secondary school environment.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
