Site EHS Advisor (Offshore)

📍 Offshore (UK Waters) | 💼 Contract | ⏳ 12 Months + Extensions
💰 Up to £650 per day + Offshore Expenses Covered

🚀 The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site EHS Advisor (Offshore) to support a major offshore energy project.

You'll play a key role in driving a zero-harm culture, providing hands-on EHS leadership, and ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained during the final phase of a flagship offshore project (initially EA3).

This is a high-impact, site-based role with immediate start potential and long-term extension opportunities.

⚠️ Key Responsibilities

As Site EHS Advisor, you will:

🔧 Project Delivery & Site Support

Provide operational EHS support to the Site Manager and project team
Act as a visible safety leader and "zero harm" champion
Ensure all EHS documentation (CPP, RAMS, ERP, permits) is in place and compliant

🏗️ Site Safety & Compliance

Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations
Monitor subcontractors and ensure compliance with approved RAMS
Identify unsafe acts and escalate issues immediately
Maintain robust EHS records and reporting systems

👷 Workforce Engagement

Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks
Verify competencies and certifications for all personnel
Promote strong safety culture and behavioural standards

📊 Incident & Risk Management

Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis
Track corrective actions and communicate learnings
Ensure effective hazard control and safe systems of work (SSoW)

🚨 Emergency Response & Reporting

Coordinate emergency preparedness and drills
Produce weekly EHS reports and immediately escalate incidents
Ensure emergency plans and equipment are in place and understood

✅ Authority

You will have full authority to stop work immediately where unsafe conditions are identified

✅ Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

Minimum 2 years offshore EHS experience
NEBOSH General Certificate
Degree (or equivalent) in Health & Safety / Environmental discipline
BOSIET or GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
Strong working knowledge of EHS legislation and offshore construction environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

🎓 Additional & Desirable

IOSH Chartered status
ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
First Aid at Work
Behavioural safety / coaching experience
HSG47 knowledge
