Location: Loughborough
Job Type: Temporary (2-4 weeks initially) with potential for permanent employment
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience and weld test results

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a busy and established engineering and manufacturing environment in Loughborough.
This is initially a temporary assignment expected to last between 2 and 4 weeks. However, there is genuine potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for both MIG welding and fabrication duties, working from technical drawings to produce high-quality fabricated components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

. MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard
. Fabricating parts and assemblies from engineering drawings
. Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components
. Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
. Conducting self-inspection of completed work
. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
. Working effectively as part of a production team

Candidate Requirements:

. Proven MIG welding experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
. Fabrication experience is essential
. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
. Strong attention to detail and quality standards
. Reliable and hardworking approach
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
. Successful completion of an on-site weld test is required before placement
