EC&I Inspector

Location: Aldermaston, Reading
Rate: £45.00 per hour (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 Months
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Site-Based)

We are recruiting for an experienced EC&I Inspector to support a major defence programme based in Aldermaston.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out inspections of electrical, control and instrumentation installations in accordance with project specifications, drawings and applicable standards.
Witness and document testing activities including continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing of control and instrumentation systems.
Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
Raise, monitor and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution of defects and deviations.
Compile, maintain and manage quality documentation, including lifetime records packages, alongside construction activities.Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years' EC&I inspection experience within nuclear, defence, oil & gas, marine or heavy industrial sectors.
City & Guilds BS2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
18th Edition (BS 7671).
ATEX Qualifications (Ex01–04 Gas & Ex05–06 Dust).
Strong knowledge of control & instrumentation systems, loop testing and calibration.
Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems.
Current SC Clearance or eligible to obtain clearance.
