About this contract

Support Worker – Veterans - Complex Needs 

📍 Location: Honiton (supporting customers across Honiton & Exeter)
💰 Pay: £15.34 per hour
🕒 Hours: 30 hours per week
📅 Contract: 3-Month Temporary Assignment (to October 2026)
📆 Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, with 1 Saturday in every 6

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives?

We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping people with complex needs move towards independent living.
What you'll be doing:

Managing a small caseload of 5–8 customers, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
Developing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
Supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and housing-related issues.
Working closely with external agencies, landlords, healthcare professionals and support services.
Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual you support.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding and risk management processes.
We're looking for someone with:

Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
Confidence managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Knowledge of housing-related support and safeguarding practices (desirable).
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable).
Enhanced DBS required.
