Plus shift allowance

We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operative to work for of our clients on either a morning (0600 hours - 1400 hours) or afternoon shift (1400 hours - 2200 hours) on an ongoing basis
The company is a well-respected provider of specialist equipment to a range of train manufacturers and train operating companies around the UK and overseas
Based in their premises in Manchester the role will involve working on a shift basis on the manufacture of the company’s products and will include weighing and mixing raw materials, cleaning and blasting using specially designed equipment, curing of products using presses and then grinding and linishing the finished product.
The role will be working either mornings (0600 hours -1400 hours) or afternoons (1400 hours - 2200 hours). An additional shift allowance will be paid for this
Applicants must have previous experience of working in an engineering manufacturing/assembly environment and be used to using basic hand and power tools such as grinders etc. A basic qualification in manufacturing or engineering would be useful but is not essential.
A Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence would also be useful but is not essential
