Manual Miller / Machinist - Late Shift
We are currently recruiting for a Manual Miller / Machinist to work on a Late Shift 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Hayes.
This role would suit someone with previous experience operating Manual MIlls' within a manufacturing or engineering environment who is looking to further develop their machining skills within a busy machine shop.
The company is looking for someone with a good mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic and hands-on manufacturing experience who can be trained and developed within the role.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual Milling machine and drilling machinery
Assist with manual milling and machining operations
Work from engineering drawings and production instructions
Carry out basic inspection and quality checks
Support general machine shop and production activities
Maintain good housekeeping and workshop standards
Work closely with production and engineering teams
Follow health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or machine shop environment
Experience operating machinery such as:
Pillar drills
Vertical drilling machines
Manual workshop machinery
Good hands-on engineering or mechanical aptitude
Willingness to learn and develop machining skills
Reliable and proactive approach to work
Ability to work as part of a team
Basic understanding of engineering drawings would be beneficial
