Flexible Tutoring Opportunities Across All Age Groups

We're looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners ranging from primary age through to post-16. Every placement is different, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups, subjects, and learning needs while helping students achieve positive outcomes.

Many of the learners we support require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tutor who can build confidence, adapt learning to individual needs, and create a positive educational experience.

Location: BCP
Age Range: Primary, Secondary & Post-16
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

PGCE qualification
Minimum 6 months' experience working in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, learning support, mentoring, teaching assistant, or similar roles
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area

EHCPs and additional educational needs
