Self-Employed Gas Service & Repair Engineer

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established national heating contractor operating within the private sector.

We are looking for experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to join an established contract covering the East Sussex area. This is a long-term opportunity offering a consistent workload, weekly payments and the flexibility to choose your working pattern.

The Contract

* Locations: Uckfield & Eastbourne

* Work: Annual Gas Safety Checks, Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs) and central heating repairs

* Workload: 6–8 pre-booked appointments per day

* Availability: Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with up to 5 days available

* Additional earning opportunities: Optional evening call-outs and weekend work at enhanced rates

* Contract length: Ongoing with no fixed end date

* Payment: Weekly, one week in arrears

Rates

* Annual Gas Safety Check: £30.75 per appliance

* Completed Repair: £61.50 per property (all parts and van stock supplied)

* Repair completed during Annual Service: £46.13 plus the Annual Service Visit rate

What's Included?

* Fully pre-booked appointments sent directly to your supplied tablet

* Ability to request additional work where available

* Exsol diagnostic software provided on the tablet to assist with fault finding

* Van stock, PPE, uniform and equipment supplied

* Long-term contract with a reliable workload

Requirements

To be considered, you'll need:

* A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as a domestic heating engineer

* Current ACS qualifications including CKR1 and HTR1

* Current Gas Safe Registration

* A calibrated flue gas analyser

* A suitable panel van (plain or sign-written)

* £2 million Public Liability Insurance

* No unspent criminal convictions
