Managing Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity exists for a Managing Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, on a Ministry of Defence project. Previous experience managing the commercial team for a Tier one Civil engineering contractor on, preferably a large multidisciplinary project, is advantageous.

Responsibilities include -

Lead the commercial management of major project work packages.

Manage and develop commercial teams.

Oversee cost reporting, forecasting and change management.

Lead subcontract procurement, administration and final account negotiations.

Manage compensation events and contractual correspondence.

Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.

Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Ensure commercial procedures and governance are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements for this post include -

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Extensive experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead within civil engineering.

Strong NEC contract knowledge.

Previous experience on marine, offshore, port, harbour, waterfront, offshore piling or heavy concrete projects.

Experience working for a major civil engineering contractor.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

British National.

MOD, defence or secure infrastructure experience.

Experience delivering high-value marine infrastructure projects.
