The Role & About the Client
ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman on behalf of an established contractor operating within the highways and civil engineering sector in Hampshire.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in highways and roads, with experience overseeing maintenance, groundworks, Section 278 works and drainage.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Foreman to join an established contractor and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of highways and civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Supervising and coordinating daily site activities.
Managing site operatives and subcontractors.
Overseeing highways and road maintenance works.
Supervising groundworks and associated civil engineering activities.
Managing drainage works.
Overseeing Section 278 (S278) highway works.
Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme.
Checking the quality of workmanship.
Coordinating labour, plant and materials on site.
Liaising with Site Managers, engineers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Identifying and resolving issues on site.
Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Providing regular updates on progress and site activities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working as a Foreman within the highways or civil engineering sector.
Strong highways and roads background.
Experience in highways maintenance.
Proven groundworks experience.
Experience with Section 278 (S278) works.
Good knowledge of drainage works.
Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors.
Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach to managing site activities and resolving issues.
Relevant highways or civil engineering qualifications would be advantageous. How to Apply:
