PRIMARY SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANVIES – OXFORD 🌟
Immediate trial days available | Part-time & Full-time | Permanent opportunities
Are you an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant who knows how to build trust with children with SEN?
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional specialist primary school in Oxford, supporting children aged 5–11 with additional needs. The school is looking for TAs who have genuine experience supporting children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour and who understand that positive relationships are at the heart of progress.
💜 A SCHOOL WHERE YOU CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE
This is a school where children are not defined by their needs.
The school's approach is built around happiness, positivity, high expectations, understanding, consistency and nurture, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, calm and supportive environment where pupils can develop emotionally as well as academically.
The school places huge importance on understanding each child's individual needs, building positive relationships and celebrating every achievement — however small.
And the results speak for themselves..
⭐ Rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in June 2024
Ofsted judged the school Outstanding for overall effectiveness, quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
Inspectors particularly praised the school's warm and inclusive culture, noting that pupils develop a strong sense of belonging and that they feel safe, happy and able to flourish.
🚆 EXCELLENT TRAIN ACCESS
One of the biggest advantages of this school is its accessibility from across Oxfordshire.
The school is within walking distance of Oxford Railway Station, making it particularly convenient for TAs travelling by train.
You can travel directly into Oxford from stations including:
Tackley → Oxford
Heyford → Oxford
Kings Sutton → Oxford
Banbury → Oxford
And from the other direction:
Radley → Oxford
Culham → Oxford
Appleford → Oxford
Didcot Parkway → Oxford
These stations are all served by direct services along the Oxford rail corridor, meaning no changes are required to reach Oxford.
From Oxford station, the school is approximately a 17-minute walk, making it a realistic option for candidates who rely entirely on public transport.
