SEN Student Support Worker - Classroom & Residential

Immediate Start

Full-time & Part time - Minimum of 3 working days per week

Location: Westerham, Kent

Pay: From £16.50 per hour via umbrella company

Contract: Term time only. Fixed-term until the end of the academic year.

We are recruiting caring and enthusiastic Student Support Workers to join a specialist SEN school in Kent, supporting children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and additional learning needs.

We have opportunities available across both classroom and residential support. This is a rewarding opportunity for experienced Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants and Teaching Assistants who are passionate about helping young people develop their independence and reach their full potential.

The Role

You will provide personalised support to students, helping them with their learning, communication, personal care and daily routines.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1:1 support in the classroom and helping students engage with learning activities.

*

Supporting students with personal care, mobility and daily living needs.

*

Assisting with mealtimes, activities and residential routines.

*

Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

*

Supporting students with physical disabilities and complex medical needs.

*

Working closely with teachers, healthcare professionals and other support staff to provide a safe and positive environment.

Working Hours

We have opportunities available across the following shifts:

Classroom Support: 08:30–15:30

Residential Support: 12:30–21:30

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with a minimum commitment of three days per week for part-time applicants.

What We're Looking For

*

Previous experience supporting individuals with additional needs, disabilities or complex care requirements.

*

Experience in healthcare, residential care, SEN education or a similar support setting.

*

A caring, patient and reliable approach.

*

Confidence providing personal care and supporting daily living activities.

Essentials

*

A full UK driving licence and access to a car.

*

The right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.

Practical Moving & Handling of People training is required. Applicants should have completed this within the last 12 months or be willing to attend training before starting. Training can be arranged for suitable candidates, subject to availability.
