Electrical Supervisor
Working Electrical Supervisor needed in St Ives, close to Cambridge, Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, Peterborough and Ely.
Jonta M&E are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to work on a £400k manufacturing facility project in St Ives. This is a hands-on position for an experienced electrician who can supervise a small team while remaining active on the tools.
The project involves supplying electrical power to new mechanical services, installation of a new LV switchboard, UKPN alterations and large SWA cable joints and terminations. The successful candidate will need to be organised, proactive and confident coordinating labour, materials, clients and other contractors.
Duties
* Supervise a small electrical team of up to four electricians while remaining hands-on with electrical installation works.
* Plan and coordinate daily works, labour and materials to ensure the project remains on programme.
* Carry out electrical installation works including power supplies, LV switchboard works, SWA cable installation and large cable terminations.
* Coordinate directly with the client, other contractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
* Maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation and professionalism throughout the project.
Requirements
* Proven experience working as an Electrical Supervisor or Senior/Lead Electrician on commercial, industrial or manufacturing projects.
* Strong hands-on electrical installation background with the ability to work confidently on the tools.
* Experience with LV switchboards, SWA cables, large cable terminations and electrical power installations.
* Able to supervise and coordinate a small team while working independently and managing day-to-day site requirements.
* Gold Card/JIB qualification preferred, with relevant electrical qualifications and a strong commitment to health and safety.

* Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire
* Hours: 08:00–17:00 or 16:00–23:00
* Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, with some weekend work required
* Enhanced rates: Available for evening and weekend work
* Accommodation: Local Travelodge can be provided where required
* Travel: Travel expenses can be covered where applicable
* Availability: Ideally 5–6 days per week, including weekends when required
LV Jointers / Gold Card Electricians: We are also interested in hearing from experienced LV Jointers or Gold Card Electricians with strong experience terminating large SWA cables who may be available to work alongside the Supervisor.
