Bright Star Talent is recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants for day to day and long term placements at a secondary school in Burton upon Trent.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants with experience supporting secondary pupils across KS3 and KS4, including those who need additional help with learning, engagement and behaviour.
Whether you are looking for flexible bookings around your availability or a consistent long term placement, we would love to hear from you. For day to day work, you must be happy to receive early morning calls and travel to the school at short notice.
Essential requirement: You must hold an enhanced DBS processed within the last 12 months to be considered for these roles.
The role:

Support pupils in lessons, helping them understand tasks and stay engaged.
*
Provide one to one and small group support.
*
Work closely with teachers to adapt resources and meet individual learning needs.
*
Support pupils with SEND, following their support plans and guidance from school staff.
*
Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
*
Share feedback with teachers on pupils’ progress and any concerns.
We are looking for:

An enhanced DBS processed within the last 12 months.
*
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary school.
*
A patient, confident approach and the ability to build positive relationships.
*
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
*
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
*
Availability for day to day bookings or commitment to a long term placement.
*
Ability to travel to Burton upon Trent.
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. You will receive support from a dedicated Bright Star Talent consultant throughout your placement.
