3 months (rolling contract)

Working Hours:

Night shifts (primary working pattern)
Occasional weekend working may be required

Role Overview:

We are seeking 3 experienced General Foremen / Foremen to support ongoing highways works across the South East (Areas 3 & 4). The roles will involve supervising operational teams on National Highways projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to required quality standards.

Candidates must be flexible, willing to travel across the region, and capable of overseeing night operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise site operations and workforce on highways schemes
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations
Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of work
Ensure compliance with National Highways standards and project requirements
Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and reporting
Manage resources, materials, and site logistics effectively

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience as a Foreman or General Foreman within highways/infrastructure projects
National Highways experience (essential)
Valid CSCS Card (Gold preferred)
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
First Aid Certification
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work nights and weekends as required
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required
Willingness to travel across Areas 3 & 4

Additional Information:

Candidates must be flexible due to the nature of highways work
Travel across the South East region is expected
This is an ongoing opportunity with potential contract extensions
