Are you looking to develop valuable skills and build a long-term career in Quality Control in the world of complex manufacturing operations and Fast Moving Consumer Goods?

This well-established manufacturer supplies household products to many of the UK's leading retailers and is currently undergoing a significant period of investment and growth. As part of a major site consolidation project, the business is expanding operations near Preston and strengthening its Quality team to support the transition.

In this role you will support the testing & inspection of raw materials, packaging and finished products, helping to ensure everything meets customer specifications. You'll receive hands-on training, work alongside experienced Quality professionals and gain exposure to manufacturing processes within a FMCG environment.

This position would suit a recent graduate with practical laboratory experience, a junior Quality professional looking to enhance their CV, or someone looking to build upon their transferrable skills and begin a career within Quality Control.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conducting product testing, quality checks and sampling activities on materials and finished products
Reviewing specifications, test results and supplier documentation to ensure compliance standards are met
Recording quality data, highlighting issues and supporting investigations where required
Working closely with Quality and Production teams to maintain consistent product standards

The ideal person will have:

Experience in laboratory work, quality testing, sampling, inspection or similar
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently
Good IT skills and confidence recording information and maintaining accurate records
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn and an interest in developing a career within Quality
