Fab Shop Platers – Teesside

We are currently recruiting experienced Fab Shop Platers for an established engineering and fabrication business in Teesside.

Key Responsibilities

* Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork and fabricated components.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.

* Mark out, cut, fit and prepare steel components for welding.

* Work closely with welders and other fabrication trades.

* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

* Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and dimensional standards.

* Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Fab Shop Plater.

* Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

* Experience with structural steel fabrication.

* Competent with fabrication tools and equipment.

* Good understanding of welding and fabrication processes.

* Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.

* Relevant qualifications or trade certification preferred
