Learning Support Assistant – Oldham
Location: Oldham
Salary: £95–£110 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Engage Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants for schools across Oldham. We are looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a genuine difference to pupils with additional needs.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils both academically and personally.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support
* Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
* Helping students access personalised learning activities
* Supporting pupils with SEMH, autism, ADHD and behavioural needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with students
* Encouraging confidence, independence and resilience
* Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
* Supporting individual education plans and EHCP outcomes
About You
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
* Schools or SEN settings
* Teaching or Learning Support
* Youth work or mentoring
* Sports coaching
* Residential or care work
* Behaviour support
* Working with children or young people
You should be calm, patient, resilient and confident when supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential — relevant experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals will be considered.
