Your new company:
An international market-leading organisation is seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to join the business on a maternity cover contract. Operating across multiple jurisdictions, the company has a well-established global presence and offers exposure to a broad range of tax compliance, reporting and advisory matters. Working as part of a collaborative finance function, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders, overseas finance teams, external advisers and auditors to ensure the group meets its tax obligations while supporting wider business initiatives.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will take ownership of the Group's UK corporate tax compliance and tax reporting processes, whilst overseeing selected international tax matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing UK corporation tax compliance, including tax computations, returns and quarterly tax payments.
Leading half-year and year-end tax reporting activities, including current and deferred tax calculations, tax provisions and statutory disclosures.
Managing the group tax reporting and consolidation process and reviewing tax submissions from overseas finance teams.
Acting as the main point of contact for HMRC and supporting responses to tax authority enquiries.
Coordinating the preparation and filing of tax returns for a number of international entities through external advisers.
Reviewing VAT filings and providing technical support on indirect tax matters.
Supporting the external audit process and responding to auditor requests relating to tax reporting and disclosures.
Managing global cash tax forecasting and monitoring tax payments across the group.
Supporting business projects and providing tax advice across areas including employment taxes, e-invoicing and wider international tax matters.
Reviewing the work of a Tax Analyst and providing guidance across compliance and reporting activities.What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified tax professional (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong in-house or practice experience in corporate tax and tax reporting.
You will be able to demonstrate:
Strong UK corporation tax compliance experience.
Tax accounting and tax reporting expertise, including deferred tax and IFRS reporting.
Experience preparing or reviewing tax provisions and statutory tax disclosures.
International tax exposure within a multinational environment.
Proven ability to manage external advisers, auditors and key stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with tax reporting software such as ONESOURCE Tax Provision and/or Alphatax would be advantageous.
Working with VAT knowledge would be beneficial.What you'll get in return:
