Ask it at the top of the page. If our guides and news cover it, you get a summary and the articles behind it, usually within ten seconds.
Ask a questionA search across every guide and news story ContractorUK has published, with a short summary of what those pieces say. Every summary links to the articles it was drawn from, so you can read the full context and check the dates.
No. It is an automated summary of published articles, some of which may be several years old, and it can misread or oversimplify them. Tax and employment rules change, often every April, so treat it as general information, check the linked articles and take professional advice before acting.
Only from ContractorUK's own articles and guides. The assistant is instructed to use nothing else, every claim it makes should be traceable to a numbered source, and it says so when our guides and news do not cover a question.
The question text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, under its API terms, to compose the summary. We do not ask who you are and do not store questions against an account; as with any page you visit, the request passes through routine server logs, and your connection address is held for a minute to rate-limit the tool. Popular questions and their answers are cached for a week so they load instantly. We keep the text of questions for 90 days, with nothing that identifies you, so we can see what people ask and improve the answers.
