About this contract

4Recruitment Services are seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Case Officer  to join our clients team in Mancehster.

Based primarily at the Town Hall Extension in Manchester, the successful candidates will work across Manchester, engaging directly with residents, businesses and partner organisations to prevent and address anti-social behaviour.

The Role:

You will spend time out in the community, working closely with key partners, including Greater Manchester Police, undertaking street-based engagement, supporting victims and taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.

Our client adopts a trauma-informed approach, combining prevention, early intervention and enforcement to tackle anti-social behaviour. The focus is on identifying support for individuals where appropriate, while taking robust action to prevent further offending.

In addition to community safety work, you will manage neighbour nuisance cases, confidently using both informal and formal powers to resolve issues and improve the quality of life for residents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour and neighbour nuisance cases.
Engage with residents, businesses, victims, witnesses and perpetrators.
Work collaboratively with Greater Manchester Police and other partner agencies.
Undertake street-based patrols, engagement and enforcement activities.
Issue verbal and written warnings where appropriate.
Prepare evidence and case files for potential court proceedings.
Make sound, evidence-based enforcement decisions and confidently explain those decisions when challenged.
Support vulnerable individuals using a trauma-informed approach while helping to reduce repeat offending.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

Awareness and understanding of key ASB legislation and its practical application.
Confidence and assertiveness to challenge and instruct solicitors.
Resilience and confidence when dealing with challenging situations.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to use enforcement powers appropriately.
Ideally a car driver (as you will be required to cover a large geographical patch).
Enhanced DBS check.
Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
