We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to support the management of a diverse industrial property portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong background in landlord and tenant matters, lease management, and general estate management within either the public or private sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of predominantly industrial and commercial properties.
* Lead on landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews, lease re-gears, assignments, licences to alter, and licences to assign.
* Negotiate and complete new leases in line with organisational objectives.
* Provide professional estates management advice to internal stakeholders.
* Manage lease events and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
* Instruct and manage external agents, solicitors, and valuers where required.
* Support the delivery of income generation and asset management initiatives.
* Maintain accurate property records and contribute to asset management systems.
* Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management where necessary.
Essential Requirements
* MRICS qualified (preferred) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
* Strong estates management experience with a focus on landlord and tenant matters.
* Proven experience negotiating new leases and managing industrial or commercial property portfolios.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of relevant property legislation and best practice.
* Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment is desirable.
* Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
