Self-Employed Heating Engineers – Service & Repair Contract

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading national heating contractor, working within the local authority sector. They are seeking experienced, self-employed heating engineers to join an ongoing service and repair contract with a local Housing Association.

The Role:

* Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Checks and central heating repairs (all parts supplied).

* Work within a small local radius.

* Minimum commitment of 3 days per week (Monday–Friday).

* Pre-booked appointments managed via the client’s PDA system.

* Full PPE and kit provided.

* Long-term, ongoing contract.

Rates & Payment:

* £250/day (8 am – 5 pm).

* Optional Call-Out: 1 week in 4

* £550/week or

* £50 per weeknight, £150 per weekend day.

* Payment Terms: Weekly, 1 week in arrears.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified heating engineer.

* Current ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1.

* Own van and tools.

* Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.

* £2m Public Liability Insurance.

* Valid DBS check (dated within 12 months).
