The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to step into industry and gain hands-on group experience. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Accountant will play a pivotal role in consolidations, technical accounting, and supporting group-wide reporting. With exposure to senior leadership and involvement in international acquisitions, this role offers both technical challenge and genuine career progression.
Main Duties
Prepare and post monthly journals for group holding companies and consolidation entries
Compile standalone statutory accounts for group holding companies under IFRS
Assist with month-end reconciliations and consolidation of balance sheet and cashflow
Support preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs for the consolidated group
Liaise with UK and overseas subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Work with external auditors to support the annual audit process
Prepare external returns (ONS, VAT) and support lender/investor reporting requirements
Contribute to ad hoc projects, including integration of acquisitions and process improvement The Successful Candidate
ACA qualified, ideally trained in Big 4 or Top 10 audit
Strong grounding in financial reporting and consolidations
Exposure to multi-currency or international groups desirable
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment What’s on offer
Salary circa £400 to £450 Daily Rate
Hybrid working (3 days per week in London office)
