Service Care Legal are recruiting for an Employment Lawyer to join a local authority in the North London region. As an Employment Education Lawyer, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation throughout the council on employment matters.
ROLE: Employment Lawyer
LOCATION: North London
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, 35 hours per week
RATE: £50ph LTD (£44.51ph PAYE inc. holiday pay, £39.72ph PAYE exc. holiday pay)
Please note that this would require office attendance once per week.
The Role
Provide high-quality legal advice and representation on employment matters including YUPE, unfair dismissals and tribunals.
Advise on changes in legislation and case law that may impact our organization
Represent the council in courts, tribunals, and inquiries
To advice on the occasional education law matterRole Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FILEX with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
Relevant experience working in employment and education law, preferably in local government
Significant specialism in depth knowledge in employment and education law
Experience of conducting complex cases with minimal supervision
