Can someone clarify that MontP have started JR proceedings relating to APN's?

This is what concerns me most.

If we don't manage to suspend APNs then EVEN if we win with TAA we will all still be facing big bills on the penalty/surcharges. Granted it won't be as high as the alleged bills but most of will still struggle to pay even the penalty/surcharge.

On top of that nobody yet knows what HMRC will do after the 12 month timeout has hit with the APNs - will they go down debt collection and start harassing my family or will bankruptcy loom?

I'm beginning to understand why some have already pulled the bankruptcy pin.

I have considered the matter in depth. There are attractions with getting bankruptcy out of the way. But more attractrive is having HMRC trying to make 200+ of us bankrupt and just being 1 of them. There are probably another 500+ who will struggle to get the money together so HMRC will need to harrass them too.

I can't see that bothering them one single bit. They have demonstrated a total disregard for morals and fairness throughout.

True. But they don't have infinite resources.

its only one of them who would handle bankruptcy ?!!!!.
..... my guess is that is a totally different department and who knows how many it is - when you consider so far on the apns we have - the avoidance team. the apn team. the ctd team and representation team .... why do you not think there is a billings team and possibly a settlement negotiation team (ie working out payment teams) and then a full blown bankruptcy team ... only speculation but it would not surprise me one bit

That's why I didn't vote in this election. They are all liars, cheats and thieves.

On the bright side, that's 25 times more than they used to pay. I heard her being interviewed by Peter Allen on Radio 5 Live recently. He tackled her on that and she made lots of excuses, and then claimed that her share holding was tiny. £1.8million tiny as it turns out. Wonder can I use the same excuse with HMRC, that it's not worth pursuing because it's only an absolutely minute six figure sum?

                      what should I do?

Just received an APN for a tax period I wasn't in the scheme (06/07).

They have provided a break down of how HMRC reached their calculation but I had stopped participating in the scheme in Jan 2006.

                      How is this possible?

I have written to Dawn B to MTM but I have to say I'm rather alarmed to receive an APN of nearly £29,000 (more than the 2 previous years I was in the scheme put together!) WTF
