    VAT payment method

I need to pay my VAT. How do i do this?

My accountant worked it all out and gave me a figure. Was given HMRC bank details with a reference. Do I just bank transfer with that reference?

The option to pay by debit card is there, where you put in your VAT number (different to the reference I got above). Does that just go to my 'account' and HMRC allocate it?

    I'm aware I should've asked my accountant.

    Thanks

If you put the money in a brown envelope and drop it into my house, I can make sure HMRC get this.
Or more seriously, why don't you just ask your accountant ? You have answered your own question anyway.

Yes, exactly that. If you go to the HMRC gateway thing at http://online.hmrc.gov.uk you can register an account and enter VAT returns electronically then they can take payments by direct debit. But it sounds like your accountant has this in hand so check with him first.
