I've been in the same contract for the last 10 years. The way things are going, another 5 years is a possibility, although I may get bored.

I expect to still do some contracting, but not to rely on it for a living.

Contracting is my plan B, plan A is going nicely so far.

I haven't contracted in over 12 years! Instead, I run my own small software development business.

I never understand why 'contractors' seldom make the leap from being a mere pseudo-employee, hired through a rip-off agency, to just setting up shop for themselves in a particular technical niche.

            Too uncomfortable I expect.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Don't know, but I'm sure I will not be a permie in the next 50 years...

                You are a Permie then?!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
