    Labour cosying up to contractors

Sounds like concentration camps for contractors.

Funny considering that they've previously been reported to have said they would apply greater scrutiny to the affairs of freelance professionals and are not exactly ideologically favourable to freelancers, being a pro union party. Or maybe this is just more new Labour in action.

Contracting is a policy priority, Labour told :: Contractor UK

Title should've been cozying up, feckin' autocorrect.

They must be pretty desperate for votes. But it actually sounds decent and I wouldn't be surprised if the Tories try match them on it. The devil will be in the details.

Until we all get taken in by their sincerity and progressiveness, then they introduce a new 60% CT rate for these new 'corporate vehicles'

          No thanks.

They need to fight zero hours contracts without pissing off their big business friends'.

Certainly 2/3 of the ideas are in the IPSE manifesto.

The acknowledgements section says thanks to the PCG (now IPSE), so there will have been some work on that.

They thank shout99.com but didn't think to come here and ask what CUK thought.
