I wonder if you can help me? My company has a de-registered VAT account (de-registered for 4 years now) and I now wish to re-register for VAT. So, I went online to register for VAT and I logged into the company gateway account as directed. Once logged on I can see my de-registered VAT account summary but there does not seem to be an option to re-register VAT or enter a new VAT registration. Has anyone encountered this and can you tell me how to re-register online, or does this require a call to HMRC?
