Just forward it to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. I'm sure they would be interested in the flagrant abuse of business expenses that they're so clearly encouraging. The inspectors would have a field day.

Has anybody approached the IR to enquire about them? Surely the IR know what they are up to. Are they just waiting long enough so that everybody who has used them gets hit with such a massive tax bill that they face complete financial meltdown?
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

HMRC say it's perfectly legal to claim £24 a day for meals - as long as they consist solely of Pot Noodles.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Who the hell spends £24 a day on lunch? Apart from Threaded, obviously...

If you eat 24 quids worth of Pot Noodle in one day you'll have more immediate problems to worry about than a tax bill

So does this mean that we could all claim £24 per day for lunch without keeping any reciepts and hector will be fine with it?

well i'd be a bit suss if i saw somebody claiming £24/day 5 days a week for 2 years. I would suggest some variation with the amounts.
