Italian woman asks for help from firefighters after losing keys to her chastity belt - Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/12104288/Italian-woman-asks-for-help-from-firefighters-after-losing-keys-to-her-chastity-belt.html)

A middle-aged woman in Italy was forced to ask the fire brigade for help after she lost the keys to her chastity belt.
The woman, who has not been named under Italian privacy law, turned up at a fire station on Wednesday morning in Padua, in Italy’s Veneto region, and said she needed help with a lock she could not open.
Firefighters, believing she had locked herself out of her house, began asking for details about where she lived.
It was only then that the woman revealed the specific nature of the problem, pulling up a jumper to reveal an iron chastity belt.
“I’ve lost the keys to a lock and I can no longer open it,” she told a group of stunned firefighters at the fire station in San Fidenzio.

Wasn't FLC in Italy at the weekend?

Did she "lose" the key as a safety measure?

Mark,
"Middle age" is relative to the person doing the talking. 10 years older than FLC would be getting into the Wayne Rooney age range.

Leeds red-light district made permanent fixture with 'prostitution zone' three weeks after sex worker murder - Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/12094301/Leeds-red-light-district-made-permanent-fixture-with-prostitution-zone-three-weeks-after-sex-worker-murder.html)

A red-light district has been made a permanent fixture less than three weeks after a sex worker was killed in the area.
The street prostitution zone has been allowed to continue indefinitely despite the death of 21-year-old prostitute Daria Pionko who was found with fatal injuries inside the "managed area" in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
A 24-year-old man is currently awaiting trial for the murder of Miss Pionko.
Councillor Mark Dobson, Leeds City Council's executive member for Safer Leeds, called the death of Miss Pionko a "tragedy" but insisted a managed area was needed to protect sex workers.

Tata confirms 1,050 more jobs to go as steel crisis intensifies - Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/industry/12105443/Tata-confirms-1050-more-jobs-to-go-as-steel-crisis-intensifies.html)

Tata Steel has cut 1,050 jobs at sites across the country, dealing another devastating blow to the UK steel industry.
Confirming plans revealed by the Telegraph, the company said it would focus the redundancies at its giant “strip products” plant at Port Talbot in Wales, the country’s largest steel facility with about 4,000 workers.
About 750 steel jobs are expected to be axed at Port Talbot along with a further 200 in support roles at the plant, which is thought to be losing about £1m a week.
A further 100 jobs will go at Tata’s steel mills in Trostre, also in Wales, and Corby and Hartlepool.
The company said the cuts are a cost saving move intended to improve the competitiveness of the business, which is suffering from “a flood of cheap imports, particularly from China”.

hardly a surprise, I suppose it will be the governments fault?

Looks like we will have to ask our esteemed CUK, Leeds based, correspondents to comment.

Maybe FLC, if he has been on tour there.

Holbeck's a s***ehole, the only redeeming feature is a pub where you can get Lasagne and chips served by the owner, ex Leeds legend Peter Lorimer.

As for the 'managed area' , I imagine it's just a sad place generally for all involved.

When we celebrate, and it is a cause for celebration, the achievements of Venezuela, in jobs, in housing , in health, in education, but above all its role in the whole world as a completely different place, then we do that because we recognise what they have achieved.

Um, the national socialist workers party was ultra right wing, not ultra left.

Remember, they wanted to discriminate against people based on skin colour and religion. It was about forcing people who were the wrong colour/religion to work as slaves, so that the rich became richer (as long as they were the right skin colour/religion)

Yup just like Stalin, , your point is ?

And the rich became richer under Stalin and it's still going on now, everyone was equal but some were more equal than others
