Reclaiming VAT on capital goods/asset purchase

Hi all, apologies if this has been answered before, I've done a quick search and was unable to find an answer for my question so I though I would man up and ask.

I'm on FRS and have recently brought some computer equipment for £2500. I understand with a purchase over £2000 I am able to reclaim VAT.

I have purchased my goods off ebuyer, but there was no place for me to enter my VAT number. However they have provided me with a VAT Invoice, which shows the VAT breakdown, my company name and the suppliers VAT number.

    Is this sufficient?

Many thanks all and great forum.

Yes. All bases covered I'd say.

Not sure what else you think you need on top of all that. Seems pretty comprehensive to me.

Not sure what went wrong with your search though as this has been asked a lot. Check this sticky from the FAQ section for how to use Google to search the forums.

Using FRS VAT 2000 using the method above I get over 4 pages of results and counting.
