Hi all - 1st time poster here - so be gentle!!
I have an offer of a contract starting early December, so need to hand in my notice and do all the co setup etc. I was told it was a 6 month contract, with the 1st 3 months being probationary.
I have just received a draft copy of the contract with the following clause:
"Contract Duration - 60 working days from commencement date."
I'm not sure why this is - before I talk to the agency, is this normal practice? Or have I just been misled as to the type of contract on offer here?
I have just setup my ltd co - waiting for the confirmation from companies house. How should I proceed with this - if this is a 2 month contract only, then I'm not going to take the position. Or are contracts normally started this way? Sounds stupid writing this, obviously sounds like I've been slightly misled here - so what course of action do I take with the agency?
Cheers!!
