EU trade deal to take many years (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/oct/23/uk-likely-to-end-up-with-canadian-style-deal-warns-michel-barnier)

So the transitional deal will last two years and it will take at least 7 years to get the final deal.

:D

You'll need Brillo to help you out with this. He's got a CSE in mathematics.

May to agree incredibly complicated deal with eating and having cakes within 8 months (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/23/theresa-may-issues-fresh-no-deal-threat-leaked-account-claims/)

I prefer the Telegraph’s headline, which basically says:
May threatens there will be no deal unless there is a deal.

In other news:
May threatens it will not be snowing on Christmas Day unless it is snowing.

May quashes hope of a transitional deal (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-10-23/may-signals-brexit-transition-won-t-be-agreed-until-final-deal)

That will go down well with business.

Speaking of vapid irrelevance, if she is now saying the transitional thing is a waste of time, then why was she proclaiming it her big new idea a few weeks ago in the Florence fiasco?

May in Florence: I’ve got this great idea for a transitional period.
Brexit supporters: Yay for May!
May, a month later: The idea of a transitional period is stupid and we must not do it.
Brexit supporters: Yay for May!

Can't figure May, sometimes sounds like she wants to do a sensible deal and other times seems to parrot Boris and the other twerps.

I have the feeling she's running two diametrically opposed polices depending on to whom she's speaking.
