Ford was the last surviving member of the Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963 and concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin.
Gerald Ford showed that a dutiful congressman who goes along to get on, can become unelected President of the USA. Ten years before, Ford sat on the Warren Commission and endorsed the Lone_Crazed_Gunmen_&_Magic_Bullet_Theory for the JFK assassination.
After that it was a doddle for him to become an unelected President of the USA.Comment
