Want to go the usa this year but due to an indescretion in my youth (nearly 20 years ago) I have a criminal record.
I know if you are travelling to the US, the visa waiver program doesn't apply if you have a conviction so you have to apply for
a special vias which can take up to five months.
I'm tempted just to go and sign the waiver on the plane on the way over. As far as I know there is no way of immigration in the
US checking this as they don't have access to this information.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation and done this?
